
Art History major and true Venetian born, for many years I organized cultural Programs for many European Universities (Lubiana, Passau, Utrecht, and Federico in Naples). I also taught Italian Art History at Turku University, Finland. My passion for Venice brought me back here where I started my career as a certified city Tour Guide.

I graduated with a degree in Japanese Culture and Literature at Ca’Foscari University in Venice.
I have been working as a tour guide for over 15 years, and presently, I am the most licensed guide in the Veneto Region, I work in Padua, Vicenza, Verona, Treviso and Rovigo.
Throughout the years I’ve honed my knowledge on Veneto painting, Palladian Architecture and Gardens.
In addition I have translated local Villa guidebooks into English, such as the book about Villa Godi Malinverni by Palladio.

Since my graduation in Art History in 2002, I have worked in the educational pro projects of some major museums in Venice. Professional Tour Guide in Venice since 2009. As a journalist and an art critic specializing in Contemporary Art, I published reviews and small Catalogues on several artists.

Upon completing my diploma at the Fine Arts Academy in Venice, I worked extensively for the Venice Biennale.
From 1996 onwards I have tutored docents at the Guggenheim Collection in Venice.
For the past 12 years I have lectured and given classes on Contemporary Art at the Venice University Department of Fine Arts.

I am a freelance writer and editorial reportage photographer based in Venice.
I have been writing and rowing full-time here since 2004.
I’m the author of Palm-sized Italy: Instructions to Use and of a Vap Map Vaporetto guide.
I contribute to Fodor’s as both a writer and photographer.
